The discipline of nursing is ideally placed to engage its members as actors in both human rights and global health diplomacy efforts. While retaining its position as providers of expert health care service to the global community, nursing can also assume new roles. For example, nurses in many geographic It is time for nursing to re-enter the global health dialogue, bringing the unique nursing perspective to policies and practices pertinent to social justice in global health. As the largest group of health care providers globally, nursing has the responsibility and political potential to mediate change, addressing factors integral to ensuring social justice in global health ( Falk-Rafael, 2006 , Grace and Willis, 2012 ).
